Spirituality
At St George’s C of E First School and Nursery, we believe that fostering the spiritual development of both pupils and staff is key to helping everyone flourish. Rooted in our Christian vision, "Wonderfully made, inspired to shape the world," we celebrate every individual while supporting their spiritual, moral, and social growth. We have developed an inclusive spirituality space for reflection, open to all members of our school community.
Spirituality is a deeply personal experience, unique to each individual. It is distinct from religious faith, as one can be spiritual without belonging to a specific religion. In a Christian context, spirituality involves cultivating a deeper connection with God, but in our diverse school community, we embrace a broad approach that welcomes everyone.
At St George’s, we define spirituality as follows: "Spirituality guides us to discover a sense of belonging in the world, united in love, and embraced by the moments that leave us in awe." To learn more about our approach to spiritual development, click here to view our Spirituality Policy.
