School Council

The St George’s School Council is a very important part of our community. We meet once every two weeks to discuss lots of important and exciting things happening in our school.

Each class in KS1 and KS2 vote for two children to represent them at the council meetings. The two children who are elected attend meetings and are a point of contact for their peers. Their classmates know they can go to them if they have a problem.

The School Council have played a vital role in the development of our school community. As a council we have:

  • Helped recruit our new Deputy Headteacher
  • Improved recycling across the whole school by writing to Redditch Borough Council
  • Improved lunch times by making the playground more exciting for all children and by devising some important rules to follow in the dinner hall
  • Organised and helped to coordinate Sports Day
  • And lots more!

We are very proud of our Councillors and look forward to seeing more ways they can bring positivity to our wonderful school!
